Barnacle Bill: Dates

April 11, 2009 O.S. Art House @ John St. Grill New York NY
April 12, 2008 The Underscore New York NY

What a great night this turned out to be. Make noise up-town.
Thank you so much to the great crowd this night.

 January 12, 2008 Tierney's Tavern Montclair NJ

Montclair is our co-first home, with NYC.

 November 23, 2007 Tierney's Tavern Montclair NJ

This was a Streams of Whiskey show. For more info see http://www.myspace.com/streamsofwhiskeyusa

November 17, 2007 Benefit for Cary Anne Cowan at Just Jakes Montclair NJ

This was a really well-organized benefit with input and donations from hundreds of people and many local businesses (for a seemingly endless series of raffle prizes) and great entertainment all day long. From our viewpoint the benefit was a big success, and we thank the organizers for having us as part of it.

March 17, 2007 Barnacle Bill play Pogues on St. Patrick's Day Montclair NJ

For this one we morphed into "Bollocky Bill," our Pogues alter ego (Steve sang most of the tunes and Stu played a lot of banjo).
It was successful and fun beyond our expectations (it was great just preparing for this show) and we might take the show to other venues. Most of all, it was the appreciative crowd at Egan's, ready to have a blast, that capped the afternoon (not to mention the 'car bombs' being served by Egan's proprietor, Shannon. We send out special thanks to our expanded band, which included Susan (fiddle), Matt (drums), Gregg (acoustic guitar, vocals), Karen (keyboards).

February 23, 2007 The Rake's Progress reunite and play at Mercury Lounge New York NY

One of the best bands to come out of NYC in the '90s, The Rakes' Progress benefited by having one Stu Klinger as its lead guitarist.

Adding to the fun, Yianni also subbed for the band's extraordinary bassist, Bob Donlon, for two shows one glorious summer.

The band, comprised of Stu, Tim Cloherty, Greg Lapkin, Peter Klinger and Bob, sounded as good as ever, like they play together all the time. Do it again!

October 15, 2006 Benefit for "Football for Life" Montclair, NJ NJ

Wow, what a great event. We are honored to have been part of a unique cause and to have helped raise over $12,000 for "Football for Life." Plus, I got to talk briefly with Yogi Berra ("If you come to a fork in the road, take it"), who lives in Montclair and was visiting Egan's this wonderful day.
Thanks to everyone who came to Egan's throughout the day, to those who contributed money, volunteered time and work, or performed (Random Test were truly inspiring), and hats off to our drummer Steve for doing a phenomenal job as one of the benefit's organizers.

July 17, 2006 Arlene's Grocery New York NY

Thanks very much to everyone who came out on this 92-degrees-in-the-shade day's night. You were part of our largest audience ever and it means a lot to us.

 May 8, 2006 Arlene's Grocery NYC

It was thrilling to play and celebrate the release of our CD. Thanks to everyone who came to see us and helped make our show such a success. And for honoring us by making noise for an encore.
